The major source of funds for the Friends is the annual book sale in November, which typically features 100,000 used books for sale to the public. The profits from this sale, along with membership dues, gifts and other income, are spent on enhancements to the libraries including new books, equipment, youth and summer programs and library staff enrichment opportunities.
There are a number of volunteer opportunities available throughout the year for those with a love of books, including working at the annual book sale in November and helping to collect and sort donated books throughout the year.
Annual memberships to the Friends of the Waco-McLennan County Library start at just $25 for individuals or families. To join, please fill out the membership form available through the membership tab at the top of this page.
