Types of Sponsorships
Teacher Honor Roll – Honor a special teacher with their name on our “Wall of
Books” at the Sale. You will receive a special $10 shopping gift certificate for your teacher. The gift certificate may be used during the sale at any time though they may wish to save it for the Saturday Teacher Recognition Day from 2-6pm. Local
Teachers will receive 20% off their purchases with school id during this time. Teacher Gift Certificates are non-transferable and not valid in the Corner. This makes a great thank-you gift for your child’s’ teachers. Your favorite college teacher is eligible, too.

Booksale Friend – Show your support as a friend of the Booksale. You will be thanked on the wall at the booksale event and at the West Waco Library & Genealogy Center in the Friends area after the sale.
Sponsor a Cart – Your name will be displayed on our carts, which travel through out the building loading and unloading books for customers during the four day sale. What a great way to get your name seen or just be a “Friend of the Library”!
Sponsor a Table - Your name will be displayed on the table of your choice – Biography, Health & Medicine, Travel or any of the dozens of other tables at the sale. Select your favorite type of book or choose an area associated with your business. This is a great way to display your business or show your support as a “Friend”!
Sponsor “The Dead Table” – This table, made famous from a quote in the media, is one of the most visited and visible tables at the sale. Prominently featured with special signage, this table will showcase your business or family sponsorship as we fondly remember authors who passed away during 2012. – SOLD
Teacher Honor Role Wall – The fan wall of books for the teachers and Booksale Fans is located in the main walkway between the two buildings of the booksale. Over 5800 people walked through the area last year. Your sponsorship will displayed largely over the fan signs to show your support. You will be included in the thank you ad at the end of the sale in the local magazines and in thank you signs throughout the building.
Golden Book Circle – In honor of our 50th anniversary of the Booksale, we invite you to show your support with a special anniversary Golden Book Circle sponsorship. You will be recognized on a special wall at the event, on the website, in thank you print and at a special INVITATION thank you event at the home of Alice and Ken Starr.
Printing – This sponsorship helps to defer our many printing costs. Your company’s name and/or logo will be printed on the event postcard mail outs. (Deadline: August 24, 2012) – SOLD
Postage – This sponsorship will help to defer the cost of postage. Your company’s name and/or logo will be printed on envelopes in two mailings with MAIL OUTS to approximately 2500 homes. (Deadline: August 24, 2012)
Volunteer Food – Underwrite the drinks, snacks, etc. that keep our many great volunteers going as they give of their time. Sponsor will be recognized during the event and in the thank you ad.
Thank You AD – Sponsors name will be highlighted on the bottom of the thank you ad and as a sponsor with others at this event. Help us thank you and all the other sponsors! Two sponsorships available- Waco Today and Wacoan.
Cashier’s Area – Sponsor our checkout area with signage with your logo. Over 5800 people passed through last area. Fabulous visibility for your company! Your logo will be seen on the t-shirt and in the thank you ad.
Holding Area – This large area located in the General Exhibits Building is prime real estate during the sale. It is seen by everyone. Attendees can see your sponsorship signage from all points in this building.
Midnight Madness – This event will be held on Sunday night, Nov. 4th at the end of the sale. The nearly 6000 Booksale attendees will be given flyers with your sponsorship for this event to be held from 7-9 p.m. on Sunday night. For a $10 fee, they will be allowed to come in and haul off as many of the leftover books as possible during that time frame. Your sponsorship of this event will cover costs of staying open late and feeding our volunteers. Your logo will be placed on t-shirts and signage throughout the event and on the flyers. You will also be included in the thank you ad and receive two opening day passes. This is great exposure!
Book Sculpture Contest – This year we will hold our first community art contest for high schooler and adults featuring designs from recycled books. For interested participants, the library will hold some classes this summer. Projects will be judged and the top ten in each category will be shown at the 50th Anniversary Booksale. This sponsorship will help to offset costs for supplies of any interested sculpturer. All projects will be displayed for a period of time in the fall at all of our four library locations along with our sponsors name. The sponsor will be included in all information and websites presenting this information in the community.
Signage – Underwrite all signage at event and maps used at the event. Sponsor name will be listed on all of the above items used in the Creative Arts and General Exhibits Building, t-shirt and thank you ad. You will receive 2 passes to our opening day event. – PENDING
The Corner – Let your company receive notice in this special area of our sale. All special or rare books are found in this prominent area. Your name will be displayed on a large sponsorship sign over the area.. It will also appear on other signage at the event. It will be on the t-shirts and in the thank you ad. You will receive 2 passes to our opening day event.
T-shirts – Everyone’s favorite event keeper! These will be given out to over 250 volunteers at our event. Library staff will wear them prior to the week of the event at the libraries. Your company’s name and or logo will be prominent on the shirt as the sponsor. You will be recognized on all signage and in the thank you ad. You will receive 4 passes to the opening day event. – PENDING
Media Sponsor – (in-kind)- PSA’s for bookdrive and booksale playing on channels throughout month, surrounding either event. Coverage of opening day event. Signage, as approved, with high profile advertisements, logo on t-shirt, thank you ads as sponsor of event in media psa’s. You will receive 4 passes to opening day of the booksale. – SOLD
Green Bags Sponsor – Over 6500 paper bags are needed for the sale to package books. Your logo is seen prominently throughout the event and on various publicity and thank you ads. Sunday bag day is known throughout the community of book enthusiasts. On Sunday, we will promote green bag day by handing out green recycle bags to customers. This sponsor will be highlighted throughout this special day of our sale. WE ask that a customer representative be present from 12-5 to hand out bags on Sunday. You will receive 4 passes to the opening day event along with your logo on our t-shirt. – SOLD
Creative Arts Building – Signage will appear on the inside and outside of the Creative Arts Building during the 4 days of this event attended by nearly 6000 people in 2010. It will be on all the signage of sponsors inside the building, the t-shirts and the thank you ad appearing in The Waco Today. You will receive 8 passes to opening day at the sale for you or your friends.
General Exhibits Building- Signage will appear on the inside and outside of this building during the 4 days of this event that over 5800 people attend. It will be on all thank you signage in the building, the t-shirts and the thank you ad appearing in The Waco Today. You will receive 8 complimentary passes for your or your friends.
Media/Print Design Sponsor – Design work for media ads, bus benches, billboards and other agreed upon items for the promotion of the Annual Sale. Working timeline will be provided. You will be recognized with your name and/ or logo on all sponsor signs, thank you ads and t-shirts. Your group will receive 8 complimentary passes to the opening day event. – SOLD
Event Sponsor – You and your group will receive 15 free passes to the first day of the sale. Signage on the Exterior of the Creative Arts and General Exhibits buildings will recognize you as the Event sponsor. You will appear on all p.r. (if you meet the August 1, 2012 deadlines) as the Event sponsor along with our media sponsor as approved. You will be recognized on all sponsorship signage in the building and announced throughout the weekend. You name and or logo will be prominent on volunteer t-shirts and in thank you ads. – SOLD
Sponsors at all levels will be recognized in a thank-you ad in the January, 2012 issue of Waco Today.
Sponsors at all levels will receive thanks over the public address system during the sale. Those at higher sponsorship levels will be mentioned more frequently. Sponsors over $500 levels will be recognized on the Book Sale t-shirt worn by our volunteer and library staff. Approved logos may be used on shirts and thank you ad. Deadline: August 1, 2012 to secure logo on t-shirt.
Sponsors at the $2000, $5000, $10,000 level will be recognized in all print advertising appearing in Waco Today, Waco Tribune-Herald and any other print media used as applicable.
Sponsors at the $2000, $2500, $5000, $10,000, $15,000 levels will be recognized with Interior signage in the Fine Arts and General Exhibits building in addition to any signage for area sponsorships.
Sponsors at the $5000 and $10,000 levels will be recognized with exterior signage at the HOT Fairgrounds Sponsors at the $10,000 level will be recognized in a public service announcement on KXXV channel 25 and WCCC-10, the Waco City Cable channel.
