Book lovers and bargain hunters, take note. You have a wonderful opportunity to do some Christmas shopping and stock up for winter reading at bargain prices when the Friends of the Waco-McLennan County Library holds its 50th annual book sale Nov. 1-4 at Waco’s Extraco Events Center.
From its modest beginnings a half-century ago, the Friends of the Waco McLennan County Library annual book sale has grown into one of the largest sales of used books in the Southwest. During the four days of the sale more than 6,000 people are expected to walk through the doors, attracted by more than 100,000 books, DVDs, videos and CDs. Customers come from other states as well as Canada and Mexico.
